The Wonder Wahmmy...is now a Winner!

It's that time of the week again --- yey to weekends! Hope everyone's enjoying the idea of going on a 2-day break. For someone who has worked in the call center industry for almost5 years, trust me when I say that these 2 blessed days are 'sacred'. So make the most of it girl! :-)

Anyway.... I'm just taking a break from my before-I-go-on-weekend-mode work and I'm just posting this to clear the air. May issue? Wala naman.Hehe.

I just wanted my readers to know (bale mga dalawa kayo all in all. hehe) to know that I changed the name of my blog from The Wonder Wahmmy to The Winning Wahmmy because I found out that my soul sister/super friend already bought that domain some time ago and parang feeling ko redundancy ang paggamit ko ng almost same na blog name. :-) And siempre out of respect na din for her.

So in case mapansin nyo ang dati kong watermarks vs the new ones, wag kayong malurka.Ako pa din 'to. :-)

Our 2013 Summer School Experience

My sweet little girl just finished her summer classes this year, and this WAHMmy is overjoyed with all that she'd gained out of the experience. K turned four just this May, and we have enrolled her for the upcoming school year (Nursery) at Divine Light Academy, Molino Bacoor Cavite.

Unfortunately, DLA does not have a summer program for incoming nursery students (dapat magkaro'n!), so we decided to sign her up for classes at Villa Cecilia Academy, a school a few minutes away from our place (2500 for a month's worth of summer sessions, free for incoming preschoolers of the school).  All in all, there was about 10 students in their batch.

I Can Be A Monster Mom...

Yesterday, I was able to watch this video circulating on Facebook.

It's of a mom 'not-so-lovingly' (as in hindi talaga) lecturing her son while in a PUJ (public utility jeep) about losing something he was supposed to be holding. The mother, at first, was just shouting at the kid, and then after a few seconds she moved on to hitting the kid's legs with an empty mineral water bottle, and then a little bit later he moved on to hitting the boy's head, and then there was even a point na siniko nya yung bata sa mukha. All the while lambasting the kid for losing that whatever-it-was-that-was-so-important-he-had-to-torture-the-kid-in-public.

Why I Love Sundays

I enjoy Sundays. They're a bit bittersweet, because it's the day before you start another workweek, but it's always been our family day so I always look forward to it.

Giveaway Win: A Hairbow Fascination

This would be the first of a series of posts I'll be doing to showcase the fruits of my 'labor' (chos) a.k.a contest/giveaway wins! :) Disclaimer: I am not a contest fanatic (as in basta contest, joiiiin!), and hindi din naman in denial, but I do enjoy joining giveaways - especially when I like the prizes.I don't always win, but when I do, I consider them blessings from the sky.  Hihi. So let's just say these posts are a celebration of unexpected blessings!♥

They will be posted in random order, kung ano yung maalala ko for the day, that's what I'll write about. Para fair. So ayan, enough na with the explanations, hindi naman ito presinto (corny. haha).

A House Party and Everything Pink

Last published: May 4 2013.

Hala! May 4 was my last post? Kumusta naman ang goal ko to blog regularly? And I just saw a draft na malapit na tubuan ng talahib - resto review pa naman. Hehe.

Heniways, since my brain is basically on snooze/screensaver mode, I will save the more profound posts for later (naku kailan kaya yung later). For now, let me tell you more about my little K's 4th Birthday.

WAHM-Hood: What Your Mind Needs To Start Working Online

I was lucky.

When I decided to go into full-time WAHM-hood coming from working in a call center, I had a good friend guide me patiently throughout the process. She had been working from home already for more than a year by the time I started, and she briefed me on what I need, what I should do, what I should not do...stuff like that. Without her, I would have been groping in the dark far longer... and I'd have given up at a certain point. When I tell you it wasn't all sunshine and butterflies when I was starting out, I really mean it. So Sam, I owe you major big time.

Thankfully now though, there are a lot of references online that Pinoy moms who want to start working from home can refer to. A Google search will help you heaps. So what is this post all about? Wala lang nakiki-advice. :)
